Ethics clarification was pursued with the Ethics Commission of Northwest and Central Switzerland (EKNZ), which determined that no formal ethical approval was required as the study falls outside the scope of the Human Research Act (HRA Art. 2 para. 1). The study collected only basic demographic information and did not involve specific patient details or case studies.
