: The qualitative research study was conducted using a revised questionnaire tailored to Health Information Systems (HIS). Data was collected through an anonymous survey. No interventions involving human subjects were carried out, and no personally identifiable data were collected. Thus, the local institutional ethics committee (ethics committee of the university of Ulm) determined that a formal ethical approval was not required for this study and gave its approval for the conduction of the study. All nurses and physicians who completed the questionnaire specified in the study provided written informed consent for participation. Participation in the questionnaire study was entirely voluntary. The study was carried out in compliance with the Helsinki Declaration.
