: Ethical approval was obtained from the Medical Research Council of Zimbabwe [MRCZ/A/2387], Biomedical Research and Training Institute Institutional Review Board [AP149/2018] and London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Ethics Committee [16124/RR/11602]. The ethics committees waived the requirement for guardian consent to access services for adolescents aged 16–18 years, and the requirement for written consent for uptake of services, because the services were those that would be offered routinely. As such taking up a service was considered to imply consent. Specific documented consent was taken for collection of fingerprints (inbuilt into SIMPRINTS software).
