: The study was conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration, approved by The Data Protection Official for Research at the Norwegian Centre for Research Data (SIKT, reference 905162), and assessed by the Regional Ethics Committee (REK, reference 415996). According to REK, the project falls outside the jurisdiction of the Health Research Act and is therefore beyond REK’s mandate. The study was also vetted by the Data Access Committee (DAC) of the Regional Health Trust of More and Romsdal. Participants were given both verbal and written information about the study, including its purpose, procedures, data handling, and their rights. Informed and written consent was obtained from each participant prior to the interviews. Special considerations were made for interviewing cancer patients, a vulnerable population. The interviews were conducted by the first author, an experienced cancer nurse. To accommodate participants’ needs, interviews were scheduled at their preferred location and time, including at their homes, in offices, or via Teams/Zoom. One interview was done by telephone, due to difficulties accessing Zoom.
