: This study was approved by the institutional review board Alahsa Health Cluster IRB MCH No. (H-05-HS-137) and King Saud University (Reference # KSU-HE-24-570). The participants were fully informed about the study procedure and were given the opportunity to participate voluntarily, with the reminder of their right to withdraw at any time without any consequence. They were assured that their responses would be kept confidential and only accessible to the members of the research team. To ensure that participants are fully informed, two key research conditions must be fulfilled. First, participation must be voluntary, based on the full disclosure of information about the study. Second, consent must be provided freely while respecting the participants’ autonomy. All the interviewees were provided with ample information about the study. The researcher also clarified that they understood the information presented and asked them to either accept or decline the invitation to participate [ ]. The participants were given an opportunity to ask questions before the study prior to deciding to take part and were able to refuse without explanation if they so wished. Data were stored anonymously and kept confidential and only accessible to us. To maintain confidentiality, participants were assigned codes to use instead of their names. Finally, all participants agreed to be recorded, and they were assured that all responses and transcripts would be securely destroyed. Despite involving human participants, this study was not expected to cause any harm to them, as it focused solely to gain a detailed understanding of how healthcare providers in one setting viewed a newly renovated birthing rooms, and how healthcare providers believe it may influence their ability to support mothers during natural childbirth. Nonetheless, if the participants did become distressed, the researcher would refer them to a suitable counselor. This research was accomplished in full accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki principle.
