: The DHS surveys receive ethical approval from the International Coaching Federation international review board. Country-specific surveys are also reviewed by a national ethics board. During data collection, informed consent is gained from participants, and all data is anonymized. The proposal for this study was approved by the DHS survey program, use of data on Rwanda was conducted in accordance with DHS policies. Separate ethical approval was not required to analyse these de-identified secondary data sets.
