: Members of the Dutch Health Care Consumer Panel are informed of the purpose, scope, method, and use of the panel upon joining it. Based on this information, participants can give their permission to take part in the panel. A written or digital informed consent is obtained at the time of the registration of a new member. The Review Committee of the Amsterdam UMC has confirmed that research through the Dutch Health Care Consumer Panel is not subject to approval by a medical ethics committee (2024.1150). The collection of data was in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Participation in the questionnaire was voluntary and members are not forced to participate in surveys or to answer questions within the surveys. They can stop their membership at any time without having to give a reason. By returning their questionnaire the respondents were considered to have consented to participate. All data were collected and processed in accordance with the privacy policy of the Dutch Health Care Consumer Panel. The panel complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
