Ethics approval and consent to participate: Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the Ethical Review Committee of Offa Specialist Hospital, Kwara State, Nigeria on 03 January 2025 (Approval No: OSH/ERC/2025/017). Permission to access prescription records was granted by the hospital management. Participation in the questionnaire survey was voluntary, and written informed consent was obtained from all respondents before enrolment into the study. All procedures involving human participants were conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional research committee, relevant national regulations, and the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and its subsequent amendments. Confidentiality and anonymity of participants were maintained throughout the study, and all data were used solely for research purposes.
