Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Approval to conduct this study was first obtained from the academic board of the School of Food Technology, Nutrition and Biosystems Engineering of Makerere University. Ethical approval was obtained from the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology; reference number SS 2998. Permission was also obtained from Local Council leaders of the selected villages and informed verbal consent was obtained from the caregivers before interviewing them.
