: Ethical approval was granted for the study by the research ethics committees of the College of Medicine, University of Malawi, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. All TB cases provided verbal informed consent for collection of clinical, demographic, and geospatial data. The Research Ethics Committees granted waivers of written informed consent because surveillance was administered through the routine public health service.
