: This study was conducted under the legal mandate of Santé publique France, as the public health agency in France. The analyses made use of pseudononymized data collected by the French Ministry of Health through COVID-19 surveillance tools put in place to manage and assess the toll of the COVID-19 epidemic on the French population and monitor vaccination activities. The pseudonymisation process ensures that personal data cannot be linked to a specific individual without the use of additional data. This process is done in accordance to French law and is compliant to the provisions of the GDPR. In this context, ethical approval was not required to perform this study.
