Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Participants gave oral consent to participate in the study prior to the interviews. Data collected was part of the FAO routine surveillance program for avian influenza viruses in place at the time of the study. For that reason, the Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Science University – Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (AEEC) (CVASU, Khulshi, Chittagong, Bangladesh) ethics committee ruled that no ethics approval was required for this study.
