: Prior to fecal specimen collection, appropriate permission in written form were obtained from all owners/shelters/hospitals/markets. During specimen collection, all animal work strictly followed the guidelines relating to the recommendations from the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of the Ministry of Health, China.
