: Ethics committee approval is not required for this kind of study according to the regulations in national legislation (“the Act on the Protection of Animals Used for Scientific or Educational Purposes” published in the Journal of Laws of 2015, item 266 of 15 January). All samples were taken by veterinarians with the agreement of the animal’s owner during routine veterinary activities, e.g. check-ups.
