: All animal handling protocols and methods complied with the recommendations of Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and the council of 22 September 2010 on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes, the Polish law of 15 January 2015 on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes (Dz.U.2015 poz. 266), and the good practices and recommendations of the National Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments and the Local Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments of Poznan University of Life Sciences. The trial was performed in the Division of Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture, a unit of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of Poznan University of Life Sciences with certify for animal experiments (approved unit no. 0091) by the National Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments (based on authorization by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education). The study was carried out in compliance with the ARRIVE guidelines. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.According to Polish law and the EU directive (no 2010/63/EU), the experiments conducted within this study did not require the approval of the Local Ethical Committee for Experiments on Animals in Poznan.
