: The animal study was reviewed and approved by the Animal Welfare and Research Ethics Committee at Xinjiang Agricultural University, Urumqi, China (Animal protocol number 2021076). The local Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Development Centre, Animal Disease Control Centre and the relevant horse farms were informed of the implementation of this experiment, and consent was obtained from the farms to carry out the relevant sample collection and other tests. Informed Consent for Ethics and consent to participate (Number XJ-Eth-VMC 2021-076). All methods were performed in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
