: We successfully cloned and sequenced the LEAP2 cDNA from <i>A. fasciatus</i>. Furthermore, we observed that linear LEAP2 exhibits stronger antibacterial activity in comparison to its oxidised form. This finding marks the first instance of confirmation of this phenomenon among fish species.
