He is currently a senior lecturer and head of department of Veterinary Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. His research focuses on emerging and re-emerging zoonotic diseases and has over a decade of experience with microbes of medical and veterinary importance.
