: All experiments were conducted in accordance with the guidelines and regulations outlined by the Management and Use of Laboratory Animals of Zhejiang Province and complied with China’s existing laws and regulations for biological research. We only collected feces from the cages of the crested ibises and did not perform any procedures on these birds, minimizing the impact on them. The animals’ experiments were conducted in accordance with the Regulations for the Administration of Affairs Concerning Experimental Animals approved by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
