: All data collection and handling procedures were done in accordance with ILRI’s institutional ethical principles and Republic of Uganda laws and regulations. Ethical clearance was obtained from the International Livestock Research Institute’s (ILRI) Institutional Research Ethics Committee (reference ILRI-IREC 2019-20, extension ILRI-IREC2019-20/2). Additional approval was sought from the Research and Ethics Committee at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity, Makerere University (reference SBLS/HDRC/19/008) and a research permit obtained from the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (reference A606), Uganda. Before the start of the meeting all participants provided informed consent and signed an informed consent form.
