: Institutional ethical approval to use the animals in teaching veterinary anatomy and research purposes at the Research Ethics Committee (REC) of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad was obtained (approval ID: IR.UM.REC.1403.279). All procedures in this study were in accordance with the ethical guidelines outlined in the Basel Declaration. Besides, the recommendations of the AVMA Guidelines for the Euthanasia of Animals (2020 Edition) were also followed.
