: Badgers were trapped as part of a wider ongoing study at Woodchester Park under a Natural England Science and Conservation licence. Blood samples were collected by experienced personnel holding relevant Personal Home Office licences and acting under a Home Office Project licence. All animals were examined and sampled under the supervision of a Named Veterinary Surgeon and a Named Animal Care and Welfare Officer. Work with live animals at Woodchester Park is subject to approval and periodic review by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) Animal Welfare and Ethical Review Board.
