: All experimental procedures in this study, including animal handling and blood sampling, were approved by the Medical Research Ethics Committee of the National Research Centre (Approval No. 13050418-1). Procedures were conducted in accordance with institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of animals in scientific research, following the principles of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). No animals were euthanized, and all procedures were non-invasive and performed with minimal stress to the ewes.Permission to use the animals and access their production and reproductive data was obtained from the directors of the governmental farms of the Animal Production Research Institute, Agriculture Research Centre, Egypt, where the animals were maintained. The farm directors are co-authors in this study.
