: Our laboratory is part of the Colombian Network of Diagnostic Laboratories, established at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic to support national mitigation efforts. This Network is coordinated by the Instituto Nacional de Salud (INS), the national reference laboratory and public health authority of Colombia, in accordance with Law 9/1979 and Decrees 786/1990 and 2323/2006. Under our Cooperation Agreement 16/2020, the INS authorized the use of biological material for research purposes without informed consent in situations of public health emergency or when scientific research is required for public health purposes, provided that anonymity of the data is ensured.This study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki (1964) and its subsequent amendments. All information analyzed originated from secondary sources previously anonymized and therefore does not pose any risk to the community. The internal laboratory protocol code associated with this study is OT-ME-03-LT.
