: Serum samples from sheep with coenurosis were collected after slaughter during routine meat inspection procedures, following post-mortem confirmation of C. cerebralis infection by examination of the brain. As no live animals were used, handled, or subjected to any experimental manipulation for the purposes of this study, formal ethical committee approval was not required. This exemption was confirmed by the Bingöl University Animal Experiments Local Ethics Committee (Decision No: E-85680299-020-65098, dated 14 June 2022). Serum samples from hydatid cyst-infected sheep were obtained from the laboratory serum archive and had been collected previously for another independent study, based on post-mortem organ examination after slaughter. The original sample collection procedures were conducted in accordance with national regulations governing slaughterhouse inspections and the use of animal by-products.
