Ethics approval and consent to participate: The work described in this manuscript involved the use of non-experimental (owned or unowned) animals. The present study is a prospective, clinical trial, crossover study with pheromone administration, and therefore, it was submitted and approved by the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (CEUA-UFMG) under protocol 301/2022. Established internationally recognized high standards (‘best practice’) of veterinary clinical care for the individual patient were always followed. Written informed consent was obtained from the animal’s owner for participation in the study.
