Ethics approval and consent to participate: All experimental procedures were conducted in accordance with the Laboratory Animal Control Guidelines of Qassim University, which adhere to the principles outlined in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH Publication No. 86–23, revised 1996). The animals included in this study were privately owned by individuals and farms across various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and informed consent was obtained from all owners prior to their inclusion in the study. The study protocol (Approval No. 367) was reviewed and approved by the Committee for Animal Welfare and Ethics at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia.
