: The FinnGen study is conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and complies with relevant national legislation and international guidelines. The study protocol has been approved by the Coordinating Ethics Committee of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS). All Finnish biobank participants have provided informed consent for biobank research, and the use of their samples and data in FinnGen is based on this consent as well as under Finnish Biobank Act. Data processing follows strict data protection and privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
: This study uses publicly available summary-level data from the FinnGen study. No individual-level data are reported, and all participants provided informed consent for biobank research as part of FinnGen.
