: Animal welfareThe UK Home Office controls scientific procedures on animals in the UK and does so by issue of licences under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. The regulations conform to EU Directive 2010/63/EU and achieve the standard of care required by the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory.The CSL/Zoetis Animal Ethics Committee, the Albany Medical College IACUC and the University of Melbourne Animal Ethics Committee approved all mouse related procedures and protocols.
