: The Athens Medical Society in Greece was the study sponsor. The trial was conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines and applicable government regulations. All participants provided written informed consent before enrollment. The study was conducted according to the Declaration of Helsinki guidelines and was approved by the National Ethics Committee (40525/May 14th, 2021) and the Regulatory Authority of Greece (40519/May 14th, 2021). Trial details, including inclusion and exclusion criteria, were deposited at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04902183) and EU Clinical Trials Register (EudraCT Number 2021–002184-22). All patients provided written informed consent both oral and signed to participate in the study and for publication.
