: All experimental protocols involving cells of human subjects were approved by the Ethical Committee of the National Oncological Institute (Protocol TRU-SK-06) titled Identification of biomarkers for pancreatic cancer, approved 1 st December 2017 and by the Ethics Committee of the St. Elisabeth Cancer Institute (No. 4-2019/EK OUSA) titled Etická komisia No. 4-2019/EK OUSA/from 22.5.2019. All donors of specimens used for pCAFs isolation and propagation were informed about the nature of the study and provided their written informed consent. Similarly, all tissue donors for MSCs isolation agreed with their donation by written informed consent. The human pancreatic cancer cell lines BxPC-3 (ATCC® CRL-1687™), MIA PaCa-2 (ATCC® CRL-1420™), and Su.86.86 (ATCC® CRL-1837™) were obtained from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC, Manassas, VA, USA). According to ATCC policies, all human-derived cell lines in their repository are collected and distributed in compliance with applicable regulations and ethical standards. The derivation of these cell lines is described in the original publications: Yunis AA et al., Int J Cancer 1977; Tan MH et al., Cancer Invest 1986; Drucker BT et al., In Vitro Cell Dev. 1988.
