: The study was approved by Institutional Ethical Review Committee of the Research Institute for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (Ethics Code: IR.SBMU.RIGLD.REC.1404.054). All pathological tissue samples used in this study were prospectively collected from subjects referred for colonoscopy at Taleghani Hospital in Tehran, Iran.
