Ethical approval and consent to participate
: The study ethical approval was granted by Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) through the /Scientific and Ethic Review Unit (SERU) protocol number 2675 as part of the Integrated Vector Management for Sustainable Malaria Control in East Africa study reference number KEMRI/RES/7/3/1. Objective of the study, confidentiality of the information, benefits and possible risks associated with the study were explained to the participants before commencement.Written and oral informed consent was obtained from all participants in this study, after being provided with all necessary information regarding goals, objective, benefits associated with the study.After consenting, the head of the house was asked to sign two copies of the consent forms, of which, one remained with the head of the house and the other copy was kept by the study investigator.
