: The study was approved by the Cambodian National Ethics Committee on Health Research (NECHR) reference: 008, 10th January 2020, and Oxford Tropical Research Ethics Committee (OxTREC) approval reference: 534-19, 22nd August 2019. The PAL trial was registered clinicaltrials.gov: NCT04041973 on the 1st of August 2019 and was approved by Cambodian NECHR reference: 007, 10th January 2020, and OxTREC approval reference: 23-19, 15th August 2019. All respondents gave written informed consent prior to participation during follow-up visit to the trial for those who were enrolled as trial participants, and at the time of IDIs for stakeholders and trial staff.
