: This study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana’a University, Sana’a, Yemen. Written informed consent was obtained from all children’s parents/ guardians who participated voluntarily after explaining the objectives of the study. Feedback about the results of the study was given to the parents/ guardians, and those found positive were referred to the Case Management Unit of the NMCP in the governorate to be treated according to the national antimalarial treatment policy.
