: The permission to conduct this study was obtained from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology ethical review committee (JOOUST-ERC) 1: JOOUST/DVC-RIO/ERC/E4 and from the institutional review board of the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI-IRB) Ref No. IHI/IRB/No:41-2022. and National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR/HQ/R.8a/Vol.IX/3352) Before conducting the study, the District Medical Officers were informed about the study and granted permission and informed local leader; through an introduction letter 1 No. UDC/ADM/A.10/207/124. Additionally, consent to conduct the study was sought from both, communal and individual level. Communal consent was from face-to-face discussion with local leaders about the study and request to conduct it in his village. Individual consent was by discussing with each participant about the study procedures and its implications/importance followed by a request to participate. Those who agreed to participate were given written consent forms to fill before participating in this study.
