: This study was part of a larger study evaluating the use of ivermectin for malaria control. The research protocol was reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board of CISM (CIBS-CISM), Research Ethics Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO-ERC), and the Research Ethics committee of University of Oxford (Oxford Tropical Research Ethics Committee). A reliance approval (based on CIBS approval) was obtained from SERU (Scientific Ethics Review Unit) of the Kenyan Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).
