: The study was conducted following ethical approval from the Institutional Review Board of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Bahir Dar University (protocol number 751/2023). Additionally, permission was obtained from the Amhara Public Health Institute, and a support letter was secured from the Bahir Dar Zuria District Education Office. Verbal permission was also obtained from the school directors. Assent was obtained from the participating children, along with written informed consent from their teachers. All malaria-positive children were treated according to the national malaria treatment guidelines.
