Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study was based on the secondary analysis of aggregated routine data from the District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) of Cameroon. The analysed data were anonymised and aggregated, with no individual identifiers. Given the use of secondary aggregated routine data, individual informed consent was not required. Access to the data was granted by the relevant authorities of the Ministry of Public Health of Cameroon.
