Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study was approved by the WCG-IRB (Study Number: 1351269) and Senegal national ethics committee (N°000092/MSAS/CNERS/SP). The study protocol was carefully explained to the chief and inhabitants of each village investigated to obtain their informed oral consent. Informed oral consent was also obtained from the heads of each household and the human participants in which collections were undertaken.
