Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study received ethical approval from the Jimma University College of Social Sciences and Humanities Institutional Review Board (IRB) (Ref: CSSH/5/57/2025). The study did not involve any clinical interventions or trials. All participants were informed about the purpose of the study, and informed consent was obtained prior to participation. For literate participants, written signatures were obtained; however, for non-literate participants, an oral informed consent process was conducted in the local language (Amharic or Afaan Oromo) in the presence of a witness and formalized via a thumbprint. Confidentiality was maintained by using pseudonyms and removing identifying details from transcripts and reports. Participation was voluntary, and participants were informed of their right to withdraw from the study at any point without consequence.
