It forms part of the broader Kenya Malaria Vaccine Implementation Programme Evaluation, for which the overall study protocol received ethical approval from the following institutions: the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) Scientific and Ethical Review Unit (SERU) (Protocol #: 3771), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Institutional Review Board (IRB) (Protocol #: 7184), the Oxford Tropical Research Ethics Committee (OxTREC) (Protocol #: 55–18), and the World Health Organization (WHO) Ethical Review Committee (ID: Kenya RTS,S MVIP).
