: The ethical clearance was obtained from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Jimma University, Institute of Health, and Faculty of Public Health with approval number (ref. HRPGC/536/2019). Mothers/caretakers were verbally communicated and written informed consent was taken. All mothers/caretakers involved in the study were informed about confidentiality and told that they could stop the interview at any time they wanted. The study was registered retrospectively on the Pan African Clinical Trials Registry as PACTR202106621156513 registered on 21/06/2021. The trial was registered after enrolment in the study.
