: The ethical clearance for this work was granted by the University of South Africa’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (UNISA-CAES) Health Research Ethics Committee in compliance with the university’s policy on research ethics and standard operating procedures on research ethics risk assessment. The ethical clearance was approved for a total period of three years from 1st July 2021 to 30th June 2024 subject to annual review. The project’s progress was assessed and passed its first review in 2022 due for a second round of review on 31st October 2023.
