: Ethical approval for this study was granted by the Excellence in Research Ethics and Science (ERES) committee in Lusaka, Zambia (approval number 2018-Jan-007). Written assent and parental consent were obtained for all participants prior to commencement of photo elicitation activities. Ethical considerations of taking the camera to school and appropriate use of the camera in both the school and the community were addressed during the initial workshop [14, 15]. Participants were asked to avoid taking pictures of other people that would include identifying personal details that they would not like to share unless they had given consent to be photographed. Furthermore, we obtained consent from the participants to publish their photographs. During workshop, participants were asked to choose a pseudonym for use during data collection and presentation of the results.
: Written informed consent and assent for publication was obtained from the participants.
