: We obtained ethical clearance from the Research Governance and Ethics Committee (RGEC) of Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) (Reference: ER/BSMS9E3G/8) and the Ethiopian Society of Sociologists, Social Workers and Anthropologists (ESSSWA) (Reference: ESSSWA 019/21) to conduct the study. We secured consent to observe office rooms, documents and activities from the NGOs. The key informants voluntarily took part in the study. Written informed consent was obtained from the key informants. To ensure the confidentiality of participation in the study, names and personal data of the key informants are not included.
