: All AIDHS/SDS protocols and consent documents were reviewed and approved by the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) as well as the Human Subject Protection (Ethics) committees at the participating hospitals and institutes in India. The LOLIPOP study is approved by the National Research Ethics Service (07/H0712/150) and all participants gave written informed consent at enrollment. The SAFHS and SAFDGS study-specific protocols have been approved by the Institutional Review Boards of the University of Texas Health San Antonio and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and informed consent was obtained from all SAFHS and SAFDGS participants, respectively.
