: This study was conducted as part of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health, which was approved by the ethics committees of the University of Newcastle (H-2011-0371) and the University of Queensland (2012/HE000132). Access to the survey data was approved by the ALSWH data access committee. Approval for accessing the linked Australian Cancer Database was obtained from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare HREC (EC2020/3/1115). Written informed consent was obtained from individual participants. Study participants were informed of their freedom to opt out of the study at any time without having to justify their decision. Participants were provided options (opted in or opted out) in linking their survey data to other linked datasets, including the Australian Cancer Database. The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
