: The institutional review board approved the protocol. According to French legislation regarding retrospective studies of anonymised data (articles L.1121-1 paragraph 1 and R1121-2, Public Health Code), Nantes University Hospital confirms that approval from the ethics committee was not needed due to the non-interventional nature of the study, and no review by an ethics committee was necessary at the time the study was started. The requisite processes were undertaken with the “Direction de la Recherche Clinique” (DRC) of the University Hospital of Nantes, France, and the “Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés” (CNIL). The database was anonymised, and all of the patients provided their verbal consent and received a document with information pertaining to the study.
