: All procedures involving human participants performed in this study were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. All donors participated in the voluntary program of organ donation after a citizen’s death in China, and informed consent was obtained from the relatives of the donors. There were no organ donations from executed prisoners. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. All patients and their families signed an ethical authorization form and informed consent before surgery.
